Colorado
This is my folder of a group of Colorado painted scenes based on photographs I took from the train. This was a train trip that stopped in Utah where I visited an artist friend there in Summer, 2001.

Colorado Mesas
oil 24.00 x 36.00 inches $300
This was a paradise-like scene that I was very glad to discover out West from the train. Having taking a just as memorable class at American University about twelve years before called "History of the American Landscape," this inspired my train travels later to take me through a once-in-a-lifetime Colorado landscape. I painted this golden mesa scenery in afternoon sunlight with great glee or "joie de vivre."

Colorado Rockies(Close Up)
acrylic 20.00 x 24.00 inches $300
This was the Colorado Rockies that I train-traveled through also in Summer, 2001 and since the train at this point in the trip slowed down to about ten miles an hour I got a great close-up photo of these mountains in all their colorful glory. This experience convinced me that you don't have to be a wealthy winter skier to find your Colorado mountain adventure:you can just be an Amtrak summer train-traveler.

Colorado Rockies
2004 oil 36.00 x 46.00 inches $575
This was the grand, great view that I witnessed and photographed before later painting the cool, Cloud Nine Colorado Rockies in all their Western wonderlandscape glory. .When seeing this before ascending into its rocky mountain high, I hope I recorded in oil paint on a large canvas for both my art audience and myself:A super sight to remember.
