For "Misty, Mystic, Connecticut" I painted a cloudy Connecticut day in an abstractly painted style/way of a real landscape scene. I created a mystical, misty mood of sky, landscape and water in Mystic, Connecticut photographed from the Amtrak train. I don't deny that this cool misty water scene was refreshing to paint in contrast to the hot, humid summer day when and where I painted it in my Northwest Washington, DC studio.
