General Guilhem, French General who fought and was killed in the 1870 Franco-Prussian War(after a Portrait in my Uncle Francois's apartment in Paris)
1997 acrylic 32.00 x 24.00 inches $400
Portraits
This folder is of a group of portraits that I have painted over the years of various people including myself, some after photographs, some from life. They're all painted in a fairly realist style, though the colors are modern in mood and mind.

Jennifer, a fellow former College of New Rochelle, NY Blue Angel Student
2005 acrylic 34.00 x 22.00 inches $400
Portrait of a Red-Headed Woman in Georgetown
1995 oil 24.00 x 18.00 inches $350

Self - Portrait with old and new Baltimore Orioles' Baseball Cap in tribute to the California Artist, Wayne Thieubaud and the former Baltimore Oriole's Cal Ripken
(1st Self-Portrait ever accepted in a juried art show in Annapolis, MD's Circle Gallery's "Self-Portrait" show in 2003)
2003 48.00 x 30.00 inches NOT FOR SALE

Self-Portrait
2020 chalk pastel on black paper 28 x 22 inches NOT FOR SALE
This is my 1st Self-Portrait exhibited in a juried by-the-people Portrait Society of America Art Show called "The International Self-Portrait Project" shown on their Virtual Gallery in August, 2020 due to the 2020 Pandemic.
Although I won 0 votes from the people and ended up only winning 510th Place out of 530 contestants, it was a high honor, indeed to be in such a prestigious American/International Self-Portrait Art Juried Show in the Summer of 2020.

Son of Czar Nicholas II(composite of 3 historic book photographs)
2000 watercolor 13.00 x 17.00 inches $300
Won Honorable Mention Award in Enfield, Connecticut in 2000

This watercolor painting was created when I learned, found out that either the art magazines, "Art in America" or "Art News" had advertised a portrait competition in their back pages for artists in 2000 to paint a picture with the Son of Czar Nicholas II as its theme.

General Thaddeus Kosciuszko, Polish General who fought with George Washington for Independence from the British in the 1700's American Revolutionary War(after a photograph)
2001 acrylic 34.00 x26.00 inches $400

Polish General Thaddeus Kosciusko 2019 oil 36 x 24 inches $500
This oil portrait of Polish General Kosciusko is the only portrait I've ever had accepted in a juried art show anywhere, specifically, at The Art League Gallery in Alexandria, VA. It's based on a photograph from a Kosckiusko website and it represents my Polish heritage from my father's side. Hence it was in the above gallery's "Origins" art show.

Portrait of a Female Model at the former College of New Rochelle in New York 2005 oil 24 x 18 inches $375
This portrait based on a chalk pastel drawing I originally drew at the former College of New Rochelle(now Mercy College),NY is a bit experimental and hence full of fun too. The painting professor for the studio class that this model sat and posed for probably wanted the students also to have some creative fun what with her unique styled skull-cap in light-blue and a warm light pink shirt. I personally did find this portrait pose an enjoyable drawing experience. Her one-of-a-kind hat reminds me amusingly of a Picasso portrait I once guarded at The Phillips Collection in Washington, DC: his, "Woman with a Green Hat(1939)" except the shape and color of the two hats are very different.
